We’ve all dealt with the student who appears three days before her ACT test looking for the test prep books that have all been checked out for weeks, or a woman who needs the commercial driver’s license test book that disappeared last month, or someone looking for test preparation books that don’t even appear in the system’s catalog, like physical therapy assistant or veterinary technician. BadgerLink now has a resource that can help.
LearningExpress has courses, test preparation guides and practice exams for a range of standard tests and other needs. There are samples of the standardized tests required of elementary, middle and high school students; civil service and military test prep and sample exams; sample exams and skill builders for a range of trades and professions; courses to improve reading and writing skills; citizenship preparation in both English and Spanish; and much more.
Users need to create an account before they can explore the resources available. If a user’s internet provider is not registered with BadgerLink , they may have trouble getting access. They’ll need to use the library card access gateway to BadgerLink at http://www.badgerlink.net/lib_card.html.
Consider placing a direct link to LearningExpress on your website to promote it to your patrons. If you’re interested, give me a call and I’ll help you set it up.
This Thursday at 12pm there is a LearningExpress Library webinar. Contact Kara Ripley at kara.ripley@dpi.wi.gov for more information.
Learning Express is a terrific resource! This access to pretests for the College boards will be a sure hit with high school students. It is a link on all computers in Westby. Thanks, Noreen!
