Remnants of the Rainforest

By , 27 September, 2010, No Comment

Kids of all ages enjoyed the reptiles, birds, insects, and mammals presented by Dino from Nature’s Niche at the “Remnants of the Rainforest” show held at the elementary school during Cheese Fest.    Dino made learning about humane treatment of wildlife very interesting and fun.  Some parents were so relaxed that they forgot to be scared of these slithering snakes!  We were treated to 90 minutes of superb information and fascinating wildlife.  Look for Dino to appear in Blair again in the future!

Cheese Fest Quilt Show

We loved the vibrant colors of the quilts displayed at our 1st annual quilt show. Over 50 quilts were on display at the library, and the balcony provided the perfect backdrop for these lovely works of art. There was a great mix of old and new quilts, and the stories behind each quilt were fascinating. We enjoyed meeting many new visitors and reminiscing with old friends and were thrilled to count over 100 guests for the quilt show.  The library would like to thank all those who shared their quilts with the community! A special thank you goes out to all the ladies who provided quilt stands for the display.
