Origami Display

Ever tried origami?  For some of us, the Japanese art of folding paper is not an easy task.  Yet middle school student Nigel Guttenberg makes it look as if he’s been working on his craft for years, instead of months.  Nigel recently requested through interlibrary loan the book “Uber Origami: Every Origami Project Ever” by Duy Nguyen, and it didn’t take Nigel long to master many of the projects featured in the book.  In total Nigel has made over 30 origami creatures, and, on average, it takes him about 3 minutes to complete one project.  He found the unicorn to be the most difficult project in the book, as it required a lot of folds and had 3 pages of instructions.  If you’d like to see the folding skills of this artistic 7th grader, stop in the library to see Nigel’s work on display.
