Enjoy the artwork of two very different artists at the library in April. Jessica Olson of Blair is a junior at Blair-Taylor High School and is showing her acrylic paintings on the library stage. Pat Lehrke will be displaying her pen and ink drawing and watercolor paintings in the stage display case. Jessica’s art will be on display from April 4-18th and Pat’s will be display through the month of April.
Meet our April Quilter of the Month, Cynthia Anderson of Blair. Even though Cindy is not a quilter, her lovely family heirlooms have wonderful stories to tell. On display are quilts made by Cindy’s grandmother, Mrs. Otto (Emma) Berg and her husband’s grandmother, Mrs. Martin (Berenice) Anderson. Emma’s is a pre-1921 “Split Rail” quilt and Berenice’s is a self-designed beauty. An embroidered, biblical-themed quilt top is also up for viewing, as well as an applique quilt made by Cindy’s daughter Kristen entitled “Purple Grandma.” Don’t miss this show which runs through the month of April.
