June Quilter of the Month-Mary Maldonado

By , 9 June, 2011, No Comment

Enjoy the handiwork of quilter and doll expert Mary Maldonado this month at the library.  Don’t miss the intricate patterns and hand embroidery that are hallmarks of Mary’s quilts.  Mary’s son Michael had a hand in one of the quilts hanging from the balcony.  Stop in and see if you can guess which quilt it is!  Mary’s doll collection is also on display and is quite a treat.  All these dolls have been restored and refurbished by Mary, and each doll has an interesting story of its own.  The dolls will be switched out on a weekly basis, so be sure to stop in often to see this wonderful collection.
