Blair-Preston Public Library is seeking a library director for a 35 hour
per week position. Ideal candidate would have experience in a library
setting using an automated system; knowledge of preparing and
implementing a budget; ability to work with local governmental body and
library consortium and must be flexible and dependable. Candidate must
have appropriate DPI library certification or ability to obtain such
license for population under 3000. Candidates should submit resume and

Certification: Candidates must be eligible for Grade III Public Library
Certification, which requires 54 semester credits (half in the liberal
arts and sciences) at the time of hire. Candidate chosen for this
position will be required to complete four library courses, within four
years, for regular certification.
Library and
Community: Blair is a small community of almost 1300 people,
located in beautiful west central Wisconsin, within 50 miles of Eau
Claire, La Crosse and Winona, MN. The library has recently
been remodeled and is located in the town's historic former music hall.
