You are greeted by liveried staff members, who offer
refreshment and ask which area you wish to visit first. Some of our windows
look out on the World-Wide Web, but you are always welcome to return here by
using your “back” button, or by clicking the “Ettrick” tab in your browser.
To your right, you find an elaborate parchment map of
the library’s many rooms and corridors.
On your left, a librarian points out the card catalog (WRLSWEB).
With your library card and your phone number, you have access to hundreds of
thousands of books, videos, and sound recordings. If the item you want
is not at Ettrick, you may request that it be sent here at no charge.
You also have access to magazine and newspaper articles
through Badgerlink. The badger may need to tunnel deep into the
library's basement to find some of these great resources.
