Preschool Story Hour
Every Friday from 9:30-10:15 AM

The library is open for story hour Friday mornings. The kids have their own area to listen and do the activities.

December 18th:  Theme – Snowflakes/Santa.  We will be reading about snow and Santa.  Let’s have a Christmas party at the Library.

December 11th:  Theme – Snowmen.  Read about snowmen and then each one will make one to take home.

December 4th:  Theme – Mittens.  Reading about why we wear mittens in the winter and their many other uses.

November 27th: No Story Hour.  Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

November 20th:  Theme – Thanksgiving.  Reading and talking about things we are thankful for and then have a Thanksgiving lunch.

November 13th:  Theme – Squirrels.  The kids will be learning about how squirrels get ready for winter and have a squirrel snack.

Come in and join the fun times at the Independence Public Library.

We try to offer a fun introduction to the library for ages 2-4, including simple stories, crafts, games, songs and sometimes even treats! Each child is encouraged to engage at his or her own comfort level. Watching from Mom’s lap is just fine. A parent or caretaker must participate with children under 3.

A good opportunity to meet with other parents or grandparents, and check out books for all ages to share with your child at home.

No registration needed.

Please tell your friends about our program.
