September 23, Karen Burrell visited the Opera House to promote her new cookbook, Spirits Within: Cooking With Fermented and Distilled Beverages. Karen demonstrated several of the more than 200 recipes in her book and afterwards the audience was allowed to taste! Karen signed all books purchased and generously contributed a percentage of each sale to the library. A copy of her cookbook is available to be checked out at the library.
You might remember Karen from earlier visits to our library, doing amazing face-painting and balloon sculpture in her other role as Oz Seeker the Clown.
