Please join us each Tuesday and Thursday, starting February 7th through March 14th for our “experimental” new After School Program for elementary school age kids! The kids will receive a snack upon arrival and will be encouraged to wind down, work on homework, or participate in our “Extra-Special” Adopt-a-Shelf Program, which will pair an “older” child with a “younger” child in order to take care of a library shelf! Each child will get their name on their shelf and they will be responsible for keeping the shelf straightened, making sure that only books that belong on their shelf are there, and so on. Kids participating in Awesome Afternoon Adventures are not required to participate in Adopt-a-Shelf. At about 4:15, the kids will either participate in a STEM/STEAM activity with Kathy, or listen to a book with Josh. Please sign your child up by February 3rd by calling 715.926.4403 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Kids should also receive one of these slips to take home, and you can complete and return the card to the library as well. We are hopeful that this is a successful program and is a great experience for the kids. If the interest and the attendance is there, this is something we would try to implement as an ongoing program in the Fall of 2017 and Spring 2018!
