BOOK SALE

“Friends” sponsors a large Book/Plant/Bake sale each year.  Book donations and books removed from the library shelves are sold and the profits used for projects at the library.  The sale is usually held in late April or early May.  Smaller book sales are sometimes held  during the year.

DUES

Dues are collected beginning in January each year.  Some patrons and others use the dues as their way to support the library.  Others pay dues and also help with work and projects at the library.

YOUNKERS COMMUNITY COUPONS PROGRAM

Each fall Younkers and Herbegers promote community non profits through a program that allows the nonprofits to sell coupon booklets for use in their stores.  Coupon booklets sell for five dollars, are filled with money saving coupons,  and allow the organizations  to keep ALL the profits from the sale of the booklets.  FOL has participated in this program in recent years.

GIFT CERTIFICATES PROGRAM

A collection of  gift certificates from local and national vendors is made available for purchase by FRIENDS. .  Certificates for grocery stores,  gas stations,  sports stores,  restaurants,  department stores, and more are available for purchase at United Bank in Mondovi and through the library..

Gift certificates are the same as the certificates sold at the place of business and buy the same amount as the ones at the store.  You, as the purchaser,  receive full value for your purchase. Since “Friends” purchases these certificates at a slightly reduced percent,  “Friends” makes a profit.

Friends SCRIP is the FOL’s biggest fundraiser.  Scrip costs our patrons nothing and gives them the convenience of  shopping right in Mondovi for gift certificates from national and/or local stores.

“Friends” certificates are available at United Bank in Mondovi.  Order forms are in a holder on the wall next to the coffee pot.  Just fill out the form and take the form to one of the bank windows.  Order forms are also available at the library, and special orders may be left at the library desk.
