Now accepting applications for Library Director

Taylor Memorial Library is seeking a library director, who will oversee all aspects of this library’s operation, oversee the budget, provide reference services and reader advisory, select and catalog materials, interact with people of all ages, especially children. Participation in the Winding Rivers Library System’s Network Advisory Committee and its opportunities for continuing education are important aspects of the job.

Position is 10 – 15 hours per week, with some evening hours required.  Candidate must have previous experience working with the public, good organizational skills and attention to detail.  Candidate must also possess excellent computer and technology skills.

The candidate must be eligible for Grade III certification. (Eligibility requires 54 semester credits, half of which must be in the liberal arts and sciences.  Then, four specific library courses must be taken (can be taken online) within four years of hire.)  Starting wage is DOQ.

Taylor is located in Jackson County, in Wisconsin’s beautiful driftless zone.
