Jerry Apps, born and raised on a Wisconsin farm, is Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the author of more than 30 books, many of them on rural history and country life.
As part of PBS’s Reel to Real Program and The Shirley M. Wright Centennial Celebration, we will view the screening edition of Jerry App’s heartwarming documentary, A Farm Story, at 7:00 on Tuesday, May 14. Jerry will lead us in a discussion of life growing up on a rural Wisconsin farm following the screening.

It’s like the Antiques Roadshow right here in your backyard!
As part of our Centennial Celebration this year, come and join us on Sunday, April 14th from 1-4 for an exciting event of antiques and collectibles appraisals and appraisal theater! Mark Moran, a guest appraiser on the popular PBS show, will be here to appraise, educate, and entertain.
If you have an item you would like to have appraised, registration is required by calling or stopping into the library. If you have multiple items or items that are too big or fragile to bring into the library, Mark is willing to make house calls for a fee. He has generously offered to donate 10% of that fee to our library.
For more information on the event and what items Mark will NOT appraise, click here.

Our musical guests were simply fantastic and had us dancing in the aisles! Thank you to Heartwoods and John Smith and Dan Sebranek.
Taste of Trempealeau 2013
The kickoff of our Centennial Celebration starts with the library’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the Taste of Trempealeau.
