This Saturday is the annual Wonewoc Lighted Christmas Parade, beginning at 6 p.m. Immediately following the parade, the library will be offering a FREE Holiday Concert by local saxophone quartet Simply Sax. Light refreshments will be served. In addition, Santa will be hopping off his float and stopping by the library, where he’ll be available for pictures in front of our Christmas tree (please bring your own camera and/or phone for photos). Be sure to join us for a little holiday cheer with wonderful music, good food, and great friends!
See you there!
We also want to thank everyone who turned out for Breakfast With Santa and the Friends of the Wonewoc Library Bake Sale on Saturday, December 2. Santa fans of all ages met with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and were able to gave their wish list to the Big Guy himself!
The Library will be closed on Thursday, November 23, to celebrate Thanksgiving. We will be open normal business hours on Friday, November 24. We wish everyone a fun and safe holiday with family and friends!
Wags ‘N Tales Reading Program Coming to the Library!
Meet Simon, star of a new program, Wags ‘N Tales, coming to the Wonewoc Public Library. On Monday, November 20, children are invited to come read to Simon in the library’s Community Room. Pre-registration is required, and there will be four time-slots available that evening: 6:00, 6:15, 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. Call (608) 464-7625 or stop by the library circulation desk to register.
The cream-colored English Golden Retriever is a seasoned therapy dog who visits nursing homes with his owner, Deb Stork, to bring cheer to the residents. Now, Simon is branching out to help children practice their reading skills at the library. Simon had a test run recently with members of the library’s PACK Teen Advisory Board, and proved he is the perfect pooch for the job!
