The Wonewoc Public Library strives to provide quality materials and services which fulfill educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the entire community and surrounding region. We encourage everyone in the community to make use of our services and materials. Because of our association with the Winding Rivers Library System, we have access to a large inventory of books, periodicals, newspapers, DVD’s, VHS, books on tape and CD, music CD’s, and Playaways. Four computer stations, a laptop, and a children’s laptop are also available for patrons’ use.
The Friends of the Library will be sponsoring their Annual Basket Auction the week of May 14-19 in conjunction with Old Fashion Day. Baskets of various themes will be available for viewing and to place bids starting Monday May 14 at 9:00 a.m. Bids will continue throughout the week with bidding closing on Saturday May 19 at 3:00 p.m. Baskets will be on display during the week on the main level of the library and they will be downstairs in the basement on Saturday May 19. Each basket will have a bid sheet indicating who donated the basket, what is included, and a minimum bid. All proceeds from the Basket Auction will go towards the library expansion project.
If anyone is interested in donating a basket (or items to go into a basket), they may be dropped off at the Library anytime before Wednesday, May 9th.
