Meet Simon, star of a new program, Wags ‘N Tales, coming to the Wonewoc Public Library. On Monday, November 20, children are invited to come read to Simon in the library’s Community Room. Pre-registration is required, and there will be four time-slots available that evening: 6:00, 6:15, 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. Call (608) 464-7625 or stop by the library circulation desk to register.
The cream-colored English Golden Retriever is a seasoned therapy dog who visits nursing homes with his owner, Deb Stork, to bring cheer to the residents. Now, Simon is branching out to help children practice their reading skills at the library. Simon had a test run recently with members of the library’s PACK Teen Advisory Board, and proved he is the perfect pooch for the job!
