Below you will find resources to help your library make the Dolly Parton Imagination Library as successful as possible within all of our communities. This is meant to be an easy place to access resources and materials that you will need the most. Let Jessica know if you would like any additions to this page.
As a reminder, all ZIP codes in the Winding Rivers Library System are covered by this program. Parents/Caregivers are eligible to register their children from birth to their fifth birthday if they live in ZIP codes in Buffalo, Trempealeau, La Crosse, Monroe, Jackson, Juneau, or Vernon counties.

Registering Children
Any WRLS library can register any child as long as they are in the seven counties we serve. Register children via paper forms in English and Spanish, online through our website, or in person at your library with a staff member entering the necessary information into the BOS.
Publicity for Address Changes
Books don’t follow those registered in our program when they move. If they move within our coverage area and change their address with us, they will continue to get books.
Launch Events
We hope that all libraries will start this program off strong by hosting a Launch Event in the first 3 weeks of January 2027. As the program continues, yearly sign-up events are highly recommended.
Enrollment Publicity
Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for parents to understand the program and get their children enrolled.
Bilingual FAQ’s for Staff and Parents
As library staff prepare to answer parent questions, this is a great resource. The document could be handed out at registration events.
Operations Manual
There are many places you can go to find answers to questions you may have as you work in the BOS. This manual is one of them! Also, when you are logged into the BOS, the question mark in the lower-right corner of the screen offers both live chat and FAQs to support you.
Task Checklist
Please set a calendar reminder to make sure you are working in the BOS weekly to manage any tasks that need to be completed. When you log in, you will see the tasks that need to be completed for all children registered in your county.
Adding a Child
Step-by-step guide on how to add a child from a paper registration form.
Managing Addresses
Everything you need to manage NCOA (National Change of Address) codes and other address issues.
Parent Portal
It is HIGHLY recommended that you encourage and support parents in setting up their parent portal. Many of the questions they may have about when a book will be delivered, for example, will be answered if they set up this portal.
The Dolly Club
When donors give a gift of $350 or more, they will be enrolled in the Winding Rivers Library System’s Dolly Club, an exclusive group for supporters who give a gift at this level to our program. If your library receives a gift for our program at this level, please send the giver’s contact information to Jessica at WRLS. A thank-you will be sent with information on how to pick up their gift. Gifts change each year in January. If the gift is to be picked up at the Library, your location will get the gift in delivery with a note indicating who it is for.
